Veggies N’at creator Gerald Charlton takes a soulful approach to plant-based food, offering exquisite recreations of classic favorites as well as unique dishes with inspired flavor combinations.  He first learned his way around a kitchen with the help of Carla Branduzzi at Piccolo Forno in Pittsburgh where he worked for 12 years.  She inspired his taste for herbs and spices and helped him cultivate a love for cooking, which came naturally to him.
 
Gerald aims to make delicious, nourishing food more accessible and spread awareness of the life-changing aspects of eating plant-based foods.  This passion is fueled by a 2017 diagnosis of Myocarditis (potentially fatal inflammation) which led to heart failure and six weeks in the hospital. To avoid a possible lifetime of medications and doctor visits, Gerald made major changes to his lifestyle, taking many cues from the late Dr. Sebi and stands behind the notion that food is medicine.
 
Veggies N'at offers ready-to-heat meals from a weekly menu that is 100% vegan and primarily gluten/soy free, and as well as catering services, pop-up & collaborative events, and private dinners.
